PAT Testing

PAT Testing tracks the portable appliance testing records for your equipment. It records test results against items, flags overdue tests, and lets you manage testing profiles that define how often each type of equipment needs to be tested.

Set up a test profile

Test profiles define the testing interval for a category of equipment.

  1. Go to Inventory → PAT Testing → Test Profiles.
  2. Click Add Profile.
  3. Enter a name and set the testing interval.
  4. Save the profile.

Record a PAT test

  1. Go to Inventory → PAT Testing → Test Station.
  2. Select or scan the item being tested.
  3. Record the result (pass or fail) and the test date.
  4. Save the record.

Import test records

  1. Go to Inventory → PAT Testing → Import Tests.
  2. Upload your test data file.
  3. Review and confirm the import.

View overdue tests

  1. Go to Inventory → PAT Testing → PAT Overdue.
  2. Review the list of items whose tests have expired or are due.

View the PAT dashboard

  1. Go to Inventory → PAT Testing → PAT Dashboard.
  2. See a summary of test status across your inventory.

Things to know

  • Items are flagged as overdue when their last test date plus the profile interval has passed.
  • Test records can be imported in bulk if you manage testing externally.
