Defects

Defects record faults or damage found on vehicles — whether identified during an inspection or reported separately. Each defect is tracked through to resolution.

Log a defect

  1. Go to Fleet → Defects.
  2. Click Log Defect.
  3. Select the vehicle.
  4. Describe the defect.
  5. Save.

Resolve a defect

  1. Open the defect from Fleet → Defects.
  2. Click Resolve.
  3. Add resolution notes and the date the issue was fixed.
  4. Save.

View defect history

  1. Go to Fleet → Defects.
  2. Use the filters to view open defects, resolved defects, or defects on a specific vehicle.

Things to know

  • Defects are linked to the vehicle record and appear in its history.
  • Open defects can affect a vehicle's compliance status.
  • Defects identified during an inspection are automatically linked to that inspection record.
