Compliance Tracking

Fleet keeps track of all time-sensitive compliance requirements for every vehicle and alerts you before anything lapses.

What Fleet tracks

  • MOT expiry date
  • Insurance renewal date
  • Road tax expiry date
  • Tachograph calibration due date
  • Service intervals (mileage or date-based)
  • Driver licence expiry
  • Driver CPC renewal

Setting up compliance dates

When you add a vehicle, enter the current compliance dates for each item. Fleet calculates the next due date and starts tracking from there.

For service intervals, set the mileage or date threshold — Fleet alerts when either is approaching, whichever comes first.

Alert thresholds

Set how far in advance you want to be alerted. Go to Fleet → Settings → Compliance Alerts to configure the lead time for each type — for example, MOT alerts 30 days out, insurance 60 days out.

The compliance dashboard

The Fleet dashboard surfaces all upcoming compliance items sorted by urgency. Anything overdue appears at the top in red. Items due within your alert window are shown in amber.

Click any item to go directly to the vehicle or driver record.

Resolving a compliance item

When a renewal is completed:

  1. Open the vehicle or driver record.
  2. Update the relevant date field with the new expiry.
  3. The item clears from the compliance dashboard.

Keep certificates of renewal attached to the vehicle record in Fleet → Documents for a complete audit trail.
