Managing Deals

The CRM pipeline tracks opportunities from first contact through to a signed deal.

Creating a deal

  1. Go to CRM → Deals.
  2. Click New Deal.
  3. Enter the deal name, link it to an organisation and contact, set a value and expected close date.
  4. Assign it to a team member.
  5. Select the current pipeline stage.
  6. Save.

Pipeline stages

Stages reflect where a deal is in your sales process. Configure them to match how your team works — go to CRM → Settings → Pipeline Stages to add, rename, or reorder.

Move a deal between stages by editing it or dragging it on the pipeline board view.

Logging interactions

Keep a record of every conversation against the deal:

  1. Open the deal.
  2. Click Log Interaction.
  3. Select the type (call, email, meeting, site visit).
  4. Add notes and the date.
  5. Save.

The interaction appears in the deal's timeline so anyone picking it up has the full context.

Quotes

Generate a quote from within a deal:

  1. Open the deal → Quotes tab.
  2. Click New Quote.
  3. Add line items and set the total.
  4. Set the status — Draft, Sent, Accepted, or Declined.

When a quote is accepted, update the deal stage accordingly.

Linking to a project

When a deal is won and delivery begins, link it to a project in OpsOS Projects. The client and contact details carry across so you don't have to re-enter anything.

Tasks

Add follow-up tasks to any deal — with a due date and assigned team member. Tasks appear in the activity feed and on the assignee's task list so nothing gets forgotten between interactions.
