Kiosk View
Kiosk View is the full-screen, read-only Planner board designed for office screens and shared displays. It shows the live schedule without the normal Planner sidebar, page header, or editing controls.
Where Kiosk View fits
| Area | How Kiosk View is used |
|---|---|
| Scheduling Board | Kiosk View uses the same board data and live board updates as the main scheduling board. |
| Shifts | Shift changes, deletions, and new shifts appear on the kiosk automatically as the schedule changes. |
| Planner Users | The kiosk can be filtered down to selected workers or left broad enough to show the whole board. |
| Planner Settings | Kiosk View is configured per user, so each scheduler can save their own default display setup. |
Open Kiosk View
- Go to Planner → Kiosk View.
- Click Open Kiosk.
- Move the browser onto the display screen you want to use.
- Leave the page open to keep receiving live schedule updates.
Configure the default kiosk view
- Go to Planner → Kiosk View.
- Choose whether the kiosk should open on the Current week or Next week.
- Optionally select the venues, positions, users, statuses, or shift kinds you want to limit the board to.
- Leave a section blank if that area should show everything.
- Click Save Kiosk View.
The saved view becomes your default kiosk setup. Opening /planner/kiosk loads that saved configuration automatically.
How live updates work
The kiosk subscribes to the same live planner event stream as the main board.
When someone creates, edits, or deletes a shift:
- the kiosk refreshes automatically
- the saved kiosk filters stay applied
- no manual page refresh is needed
Things to know
- Kiosk View is read-only. It does not open the shift modal or allow edits from the screen.
- Day headers are not clickable in kiosk mode.
- If your session expires, the kiosk redirects back through the normal login flow instead of silently reconnecting forever.
- The kiosk uses your own saved filter settings, not a tenant-wide shared preset.
