Templated Lines

Templated lines are saved purchase order lines you can reuse when the same costs come up regularly. They help you build purchase orders faster and keep repeated line descriptions consistent.

Where templated lines fit

Create a templated line

  1. Go to Purchasing → Templates.
  2. Click Add Template.
  3. Enter the Description.
  4. Enter the Amount.
  5. Add Notes if the line needs more context.
  6. Turn on Shared with team if other users should be able to use it.
  7. Click Create Template.

Edit a templated line

  1. Go to Purchasing → Templates.
  2. Open the line you want to change.
  3. Update the description, amount, sharing setting, or notes.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Show or hide a templated line in your picker

  1. Go to Purchasing → Templates.
  2. Find the line in the list.
  3. Use the Shown / Hidden control to decide whether it should appear in your template picker.

Delete a templated line

  1. Open the templated line.
  2. Click Delete Template.
  3. Confirm the change.

Things to know

  • Non-admin users only see their own templated lines and shared ones.
  • Hidden lines are not deleted. They are just removed from your picker.
  • Templated lines are single saved lines, not full purchase order templates.
