Using the Command Palette

The command palette is the keyboard shortcut for fast navigation around OpsOS. It lets you jump straight to a page by typing a short command instead of clicking through sidebars.

Open the command palette

  • Press Ctrl+K
  • Or press Ctrl+Space
  • On Mac, Cmd+K also works

What it can do

  • Jump to module home pages such as Projects, Purchasing, Planner, Inventory, Fleet, Transfer, HR, and CRM
  • Open common pages like user management, supplier lists, payment queues, and planner views
  • Use a few direct actions such as opening a PO by number or searching for a supplier or contact

How results are scoped

The command palette only shows and resolves commands that are valid for your current access.

  • Permissions: commands are filtered by your RBAC permissions
  • Module entitlements: commands for modules your tenant does not have enabled are hidden
  • Current product names: commands use the current module names, such as Projects rather than older internal labels

If you type a command for something you cannot access, it will not appear as an available result.

Example commands

  • projects
  • tickets
  • purchasing
  • new po
  • ready to pay
  • planner
  • planner day today
  • inventory
  • low stock
  • users

Things to know

  • Press Enter to run the current command
  • Press Esc to close the palette
  • The helper examples shown in the palette are filtered to the modules you can currently access
